Project Update Spring 2024
Here is what is going on along the SouthEast Connector Expressway:
The City of Elk Grove is designing the Kammerer Road Extension. Congratulations to Jacobs for securing the largest engineering design contract we've ever had.
We will have more to say about this project, as it's probably the most exciting and vital project we have underway.
Grant Line and the existing Kammerer Road have completed construction; a big thank you to Bennett Engineering Services + Y&C Transportation Consultants (DBE/SBE) and Dewberry for the design and UNICO Engineering, Inc. & Knight CM Group for the construction management.
We're starting a roundabout project in the Sheldon Rural Community. AECOM has done great work for the past several years, and now they're moving forward on the Environmental Review of operational improvements at Grant Line Road and Wilton Road.
We secured our project mitigation and will fully fund and permit every project in construction in the next five years. Madrone Ecological Consulting, LLC leads our mitigation strategy.
We have a vital safety improvement project in City of Rancho Cordova and Sacramento County Department of Transportation. Freight mobility is critical here, as the route has a high volume of Heavy Vehicles. We have signed a contract with Dokken Engineering , and we will start construction in 2027.
We secured funds for active transportation and are implementing the regional class 1 trail network envisioned by Sacramento Area Council of Governments in the City of Folsom. MacKay & Somps Civil Engineers, Inc. is coordinating our plans through the Folsom Plan Area.
The White Rock Rd expressway, Class 1 bike trail, and roundabout on Scott Rd are complete; a big thank you to Dokken Engineering and Mark Thomas for the design and Salaber Associates for the construction management.
